Altafiumara is nestled in a Mediterranean landscape of rare beauty, where two seas meet, and two lands almost touch. The view from here stretches as far as Sicily and the Aeolian Islands on a clear day. The ever-changing colors of the horizon cast shades of red across the waters of the Strait at sunset, while the scents of citrus blossoms and the sea fill the air. All around, the Costa Viola reveals hidden coves, hillside villages and waters reflecting shades of turquoise and deep blue.
How to reach us
The nearest airport is Reggio Calabria Tito Minniti, from which Altafiumara can be reached in approximately 20 minutes.
Lamezia Terme International Airport is around 120 km away; the travel time to Altafiumara is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. A dedicated transfer service is available for both airports upon request.
The primary railway stations are Reggio Calabria Centrale and Villa San Giovanni. Updated train timetables can be found on the official Trenitalia website. From the station, you can reach the resort via a private transfer, available upon request.
Take the A2 Salerno–Reggio Calabria motorway and take the Villa San Giovanni exit. Follow the signs for Santa Trada, then take Via Fiumara Alta towards Via Petrello.
If arriving from the north, you can take the Campo Calabro exit and, at the roundabout, re-enter the A2 motorway towards Salerno, then exit at Santa Trada.
